Carbon Reduction Plan
WeBelieve Media Ltd
Publication date: March 2023
Commitment to achieving Net Zero
WeBelieve Media is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
WeBelieve Media Ltd last carried out a carbon foot printing exercise in 2017 as part of the BEE Anglia programme. This reported 2016/17 emissions for electricity and LPG in the single unit occupied at the time. The business has expanded, almost quadrupling the turnover, since that time and operates from three units in total. LPG is no longer used for heating and all office energy is grid-supplied electricity.

Emissions reduction targets
In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 5.2tCO2e by 2027. This is a reduction of 19%.
Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives:
The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2017 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 2.1tCO2e reduction against the 2017 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.
- Gained the environmental management measure certification ISO14001.
- Monitoring and managing energy use more efficiently.
- Replaced LPG with radiant heating.
- Upgraded all lighting to LED including frequent used lighting.
In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:
- Ensure all general refuse is dealt with accordingly and all recyclable materials re-enter the recycling chain wherever possible.
- Reduce the environmental impact of supply chain operations, improving sustainability, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards, and enhancing the reputation of the organisation.
- Reduce any potential high pollutants within the business by identify potential sources of pollution in operations, such as emissions from vehicles or equipment, and take steps to minimise or eliminate them.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, minimising the risk of non-compliance, and proactively identifying and addressing any areas of non-compliance.
- Maintain reasonable level of energy consumption through evaluating energy consumption, including electricity, gas, and other fuels, and seek ways to reduce it.
- Reduce our own greenhouse gas emissions, enhance resilience to climate change impacts, and contribute to the global effort to limit global temperature rise
- Reduce excessive water usage through implementing water-saving technologies such as low-flow faucets and toilets and consider reusing or recycling water where feasible.
